A historic night has been etched into Rajamangala Stadium with the spectacular Opening Ceremony of the SEA Games, presented under the theme “The Origin Back to One.” A return to our roots, a story beyond time, and a powerful declaration of unity across Southeast Asia, told through the poetic metaphor of water connecting the region into ONE SEA and ONE VICTORY. The ceremony seamlessly blended art, culture, and world-class technology, forming a shared moment of awe felt across the entire stadium.
All five acts were woven into a commanding narrative, from the drone countdown illuminating the sky to a symphony of lights, lasers, and sound that built rising anticipation. “Ignite the Game” then set the stadium ablaze with passion, featuring a 40-person pyro crew, 18 pyro bicycles, Ken from ZEAL on drums, and the song “1%” performed by Violette, Twopee, and F.HERO. Rajamangala was then transformed into a vast ocean with a 100-meter pool built for the first time in the world inside a stadium, becoming the stage for underwater dance, jet skis, flyboards, and symbolic performances from all 11 nations through breathtaking projection mapping. The momentum rose into ONE SPIRIT, where 11 combat sports united in one show with Buakaw’s explosive appearance igniting the loudest cheers of the night, before culminating in “Blooming of One & One Victory,” a celebration led by BamBam and monumental visual artistry.
As the final act reached its peak, the digital cauldron lighting emerged with elegance. The flame of origin rose into the sky through a fleet of drones and radiated across the stadium through full-bowl projection mapping. An ending not powered by real fire, but by imagination, creativity, and the collective heart of everyone who built this moment.
Behind this magnitude stands the dedication of more than 1,200 Thai creators who believed that this Opening Ceremony would become not just a performance, but a shared memory for all of ASEAN.
